Values & Vision
Gulfview Heights Primary School is a very close-knit local community based school, catering for approximately 380 Reception to Year 6 students.
Often described as a ‘country school’ in a metropolitan area, the school is located 20km North of Adelaide on the hills face that separates the Northern and North Eastern suburbs. Nestled amongst an Australian native backdrop, the school boasts one of the most beautiful and tranquil school environments.
Gulfview Heights Primary is a public school in the Northern Adelaide Region and is a member of the Salisbury Partnership of schools.
Built in 1976, the school has a proud history characterised by high levels of student participation and academic excellence, parental involvement, as well as providing a range of extra-curricular activities in the areas of Performing Arts, Physical Education and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics).
Our vision is built around providing a safe and supportive learning environment, and enhancing a student’s capacity to learn and achieve their personal best. We offer a range of specialist programs and extra-curricular activities which stimulate students’ intellectual, physical, moral, social and creative capabilities.
Upon the completion of a $1 000 000 STEM redevelopment in 2018, the school became a Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics focus primary school to promote an interdisciplinary approach to learning across these areas. Through their engagement in STEM learning, students are able to secure their place as innovators, entrepreneurs, leaders and shapers of an adaptable knowledge-based economy and society.
Parents and carers play an integral role in their child’s education and this home-school partnership is central to us realising our vision.
